We are coming to you live from Springfield, Mo at the 2008 National Royal Rangers Council! This has been an exciting week for us and for the Future of Royal Rangers. The National Office has heard you and has responded with a new direction for Royal Rangers!
Here is some of what we have learned:

Merits will become more hands on, requiring less book/class time
-
Training will be simplifed to a tiered system in order to facilitate every commander being trainined
-
Solutions for small churches with few kids and leaders
-
Curriculum will be moved to an electroncic delivery method

New focus on Junior Training

Section 6 LMA Challenge
Section 6 will offer a trophy
plaque to the first leader who, beginning in 2008, completes his/her LMA faster than Scott Giegold, Living
Water Fellowship, OP 360. Scott started
with Basics on January 6, 2007, attended NTC in January and completed his LMA
at the District Super Training Weekend on July 21, 2007 or 198 days. The first leader starting in 2008 who beats
198 days to LMA can contact Bruce
Steffens, Section 6 Commander, to claim the trophy. So sign up for NTC and get to Basics. Congratulations to Scott Giegold and anyone
who can beat his Section 6 record.
